Pyro'wex - Pyrex
As children my sisiter and I would laugh each time our mum use this word ’fefto pyro'wex' she would shout. We continued using it in adulthood. One day my daughter came home from school when she was about 11 really upset, saying she needed a Pyrex dish for a cookery class the next day and we didn't have any. As I tried to calm her by showing her the Pyrex dishes, fighting back tears she said 'no that's pyro'wex' I had to explain that this was a 'yaiya word'
