Yiayia lived in Manor Gardens (Fishbury park)in the 60's. Emigrated to London from Northern Cyprus in the 50's.
Milk man doing he's rounds on the estate one day knocked on her door to see if she wanted some milk.
Her English was terrible so she answered in Grenglish: Coming tomorning, Faka Faka tin porta is ok...?! (She was using a misinterpreted hand gesture) he thought he was in luck so he turned up the next day in a suit with a bunch of flowers.
When she cottoned on to what he was after her response was "Ou Lampron na se kapsi".
True story.
